When is Color Our World?
TASC's Color Our World 5K and 1K will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024! The race starts at 8:00 AM and race bibs can be picked up from the Registration tent from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM that morning. Registration will be open until 7:30 AM on Race Day. However, we encourage you to register as early as possible. On-site registration does not guarantee a race t-shirt.
is the route wheelchair accesible?
Yes, Color Our World is a wheelchair accessible event and appropriate for participants of all abilities.
Can I run with a jogging stroller?
Color Our World is a family-friendly affair, so we encourage you to bring participants of all ages. For the safety of our participants, we ask that all strollers start at the back. We do recommend a cover for your stroller to protect it from color.
My child wants to participate. DO i need to register them?
We ask that all participants 6 years and older be registered to race. Children are free to run alongside their parents or be pushed in a stroller.
can i bring my dog to color our world?
Friendly, on-leash pets are welcome at Color Our World. Please be aware that they may be exposed to the non-toxic color powder.
Do I get a medal when i finish?
Yes, all participants get a custom "Color Our World" finisher medal, in addition to the race shirt and other goodies!
Registration INFORMATION
what are the registration fees for COlor Our World?
Registration fee for the 1K is $35.00 and the 5K is $45.00. Children 5 and under are FREE; however, their registration does not include a t-shirt. Registration prices will increase as the race date approaches. Special rates available for TASC clients and staff, group homes, and employees.
can you register on race day?
Yes! However, we encourage you to register as early as possible. Registration will close at 7:30 AM on Race Day. On-site registration does not guarantee a race shirt.
do i have to run the race to get a t shirt?
You can purchase an official race t-shirt and medal package by registering as a runner, or you can check out our merchandise!

COLOR/other questions
Is the color safe/non-toxic?
The colors are made with high quality cornstarch, food dyes and baking soda. All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C approved. The brand we use is Color Blaze.
will the color ruin my clothes/running shoes?
The color mostly washes out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. It’s best to wear items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful.
is there a non-color option?
Yes, directions will be given on race day for participants who wish to remain color-free.
Can I pick up my race packet and bib early?
Yes, Early Packet Pickup will be on May 31, 2024 (Friday), from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, at Fleet Feet Encino (16545 Ventura Blvd, Suite 17, Encino, CA)
where does my donation go?
All of the funds for this event will go toward the critical services provided by The Adult Skills Center (TASC). TASC provides education, behavioral services, integrated employment, and independent living services to hundreds of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your support will mean a great deal for these important services!
